There are more than 10,000 foods indexed in this food counter book, but it doesn’t seem like it when you hold it.
That’s a good thing, by the way. Some indexes are daunting to use just because they are so large. Sometimes a large
book is just large enough to convince you that guessing the calorie amount would be better. It usually isn’t better,
and having an easy-to-handle book that has most of what you look for in it is nice to have around.
I used this index for some of the calorie counts in The Calorie Guessing Game.
It was very easy to use and was the one I keep nearby.
The book contains food listed in tabular form and numbers for calories, fat, protein, carbs, fiber and sodium.
It is a talent for a book like this to have what you are looking for and also not be too large or too expensive.
This counter is very practical in these ways.
Dr. Ed Blonz discussion in the front is very positive. I have not read all of his writing but he seems to have
an uplifting tone to his writing that is refreshing. I recommend this book because of its practicality.
